Top Notes- Cell Phone Holders

The other day, I was chatting on the phone with my friend, Lilibeth. The line kept cutting off and it was getting to annoy both of us. I was speculating it would be the 3G reception of her phone since she was the one traveling. She says it might be that her seat belt was terminating the call. What..the seat belt? Little did I know she puts her cellphone on her chest and secures it with her seat belt. Isn't that hilarious? So, my mind kept spinning and I offered to make her a remedy for the phone dilemma. I brought out my big shot and my sewing machine and started...thus, giving birth to these Top Notes Cellphone Holders.



I'm making a couple for my sister too. She says she can model it while attending her functional dinners and formal party events. Something she would bring with her small purse :)

All I did was cut 2 Top Notes die, sewn them together and embellished them. The long ribbon would serve as a "hands-free" devise to hang around your neck while you drive and speak on the phone. I also tied a bow around the holder to secure the phone inside the holder. You can tighten or adjust it as needed.


Anywho... I hope you enjoyed my little story. We all know that it's against the law to drive while holding your precious cellphones. Several studies show cell phones are a leading cause of car crashes. It is estimated that cell phone distracted drivers are four times more likely to be in a car wreck. According to a Harvard University study, cell phones cause over 200 deaths and half a million injuries each year. Try making this cellphone holders and Save A Life!

2010 CARD SWAP - Luv2Stamp Group

Hello, there! I finally got 2010 card swaps from the Luv2Stamp Group hosted by Patty Bennett. Thank you, Patty, for swapping my cards for me, perfectly packaged and sent to me. When I got the box, I couldn't wait to open the package and find myself browsing through the cards! They were all soo beautiful. Here is a slideshow of these wonderful cards made with TLC. Orchid Orpulence Share from Raidis

Raidis and her daughter came here the other day to pick up her orders then handed me these lovely creations. I was so surprise and it was really thoughtful of her. I've always stayed away from the purple color since I could remember but now I've found the perfect lavander color for me :) Not too light, not too dark, just right for my spring projects. Watch out for this color in my upcoming creations ..heehee.

Here, she used the milk carton die #117310 p.23 (OMC) and our favorite, the "Good Egg" Stamp Set #114974 p.45 (IBC). The DSP used is the #117160 p.25 (OMC). That's where we discovered the color Orchid Orpulence.



On this matchbox project, she used the cute "Eggcoutrements" Stamp set, #115164- wood or #118556- acrylic p.22 (OMC). The Tag punch used #105934 cuts just right on the image. To spruce it up she used the 5/8" Pretty in Pink satin ribbon #117289 p.27 (OMC), too. Don't forget the BigShot SU Matchbox Die #114890 p.201 (IBC). Raidis made her own box here and decided to order the die. It was much more convinient to make them with the die.



Last but not the least, Raidis had made these altered tins so well it became so popular. She used the Scallop Circle Punch #109043 P.186 (IBC) to make this 5-layered flower. Isn't it lovely? The leaves were punched out from the XL 2-Step Bird Punch #117191 p.11 (OMC). I love that punch.

Happy Butterflies Card

Hello again! Today's card features a new tool I used..(well, I just got it in the mail because it was back ordered, it's so popular), the SU Embosslits Die - Beautiful Wings #118138. These embossed butterflies are so beautiful and really gives character to your project. Just giving it different colors, gave life to the card! The die cuts 3 other sizes and embossed designs of butterflies so its really so worth it. Spring is here, time to bring out those butterflies! I'm dedicating this card to Aileen Gutierrez :)

Spring Garden Lollipop Holder

Just wanted to share with you what my friend, Raidis, gave me the other day. She had made this lovely lollipop flowers using the Full Heart Punch #113693. Then she stuck them into this floral foam and gave them to me. Soo cute!



When I was looking at it closely, it looked like it needed a plant box or a picket fence around it so it would look like it was in a garden. I started punching out Modern Label punch pieces on Creamy Caramel CS and added some gold brads. Then snipped out 2 layered grass borders using Old Olive CS and I have my garden! You can even add more flowers to it or even use this as a holder for sticking pens, pinwheels, etc...

Measurement of the lollipop garden holder:

Felt Flowers and Friends

It's about time I shared with you some of these felt flowers I've been making. I know you've seen so many felt flowers around and know how by now how to make them. I just wanted to share with you how these flowers influenced my social network and more.

I already made them for a reunion I had in Las Vegas where my classmates wore them for the entire weekend stay. There were 16 of us wearing them as we strolled down the strip. As we passed by curious onlookers, I can't help but admire how my friends proudly wore them with their lovely get-ups. It was like a fashion statement and it worked!


The yellow/black flower below is another project in my list. It will be used in an election campaign soon. So watch out for this if you see them around:)



Here are some I made for St.Patrick's Day!!! Go Green!


My mom's back from vacation and she brought this lovely tote bags! My friends were here to welcome them back and they got these lovely totes decked with my special felt flowers. Aren't they gorgeous. :)


These are shoulder bags for kids. They're like mini-duffle bags.. soo cute! :)




I also made a tag for them if you wanted to give it as a gift or sell it in a craft fair or even sell them at boutiques :)


Just cut a 2"x4" CS and decorate with a label (I used the Vintage Labels here), then punch 2 holes for the flower pin hold and use the Horizontal Slot punch #105089 so you can hang these lovely flowers in a shop.
