Ornament Punch Flower Tutorial

Hi there! I just can't resist making these flowers this morning as soon as I found them in Stamping Connection. The credit goes to Rhea Anderson. Just to share with you how much fun I had, I'm giving you this Step-By-Step illustrated tutorial of the punched flower.



Supplies Needed:
- Ornament Punch #116794
- 1-3/8" Circle Punch #104401
- Tombow Multi Purpose Glue #110755 or Crystal Effects Glue #101055 p.192 (IBC)
- Whisper White CS #100730 p.155 (IBC)
- Optional: Sponge #101610 p.192 for sponging the tips of the flower

Step 1 : Punch out all the Ornament Punch you may punch in 1 sheet Whisper White CS then curl them as illustrated, with a pen.



Step 2: Then glue the ornament petal pieces onto the 1-3/8" circle as illustrated. And work inward onto the center of the flower.





Step 3: As you go closer into the middle, you will need to curl your ornament petals around a pen as illustrated. You will need more curl.



Step 4: To glue the center pieces, assist with a pen as illustrated to press down the center of the flower.



Step 5: As soon as you're done with the flower, I like crunching it this way so the petals will curl together in harmony.



Voila!!! We have a beautiful flower! You may also want to sponge the edges of your petals to make it lovelier. I hope this helps!!! Have fun making them :)

2010 Card Swap Event

It's HERE! It's HERE! It's that time of year where I either attend or remotely join the Annual Card Swapping Event by Patty Bennett. She hosts numerous events but this is one of my favorite ones of the year. I just can't wait to get all the cards I'll be swapping. Just imagine, demonstrators in mayhem, going around swapping cards with each other, exchanging infos and catching up on Stampin Up stories. Ugh, but I can't make it this year, so I'm doing it remotely :( Thanks, Patty, for taking care of my cards.

Featuring on this post, is my swap card. Anyone who would like to swap a card with me may do so by emailing me. We can just swap cards by mail or virtually, simply through Mr. Linky below. Try it, it'll be fun! Swapping cards is a good way to exchange tips, show techniques or mainly just a getting to know each other event :)

General Rules for Card Swaps:
1. Just for fun, other techniques stiching is allowed if your card requires.
2. You must include the following on the BACK of the card:
a. your name, email or blogsite
b. the recipe for the card (products used)
3. You must use ONLY Stampin' Up! paper, ink, accessories and embelishments
4. Card "fronts" are fine (need not be a folded card), and envelopes are not necessary.

Hello, there! Today, I'm featuing shares from my good friend, Jay. She's an enthusiast of Stampin' Up and very talented, gifted crafter from the Philippines! The M&M packets are gorgeous. Here, she used a Scallop Square #112081 for her packet window, the Wide Oval punch #112082 and Large Scallop punch #107305 for the tag, as well as the Pinking Hearts Border #117649 (OMC) for the opening edge. She also used the Textured Impression Folder - Perfect Polka Dots - #117335 from(OMC).

Easter Bunny Greeting Card

Hello, there! I'm here again, bright and bushy tail! Yup, it's Bunny time again! I couldn't resist making this card soon enough for my upcoming March Class. This card will go together with your cute Milk Carton Carrot Box aka (Carrot Milk Carton Box).

Someone had mentioned a funny thought about my title "Carrot Milk Carton Box"... heehee. I didn't realize it until she explained her inquiring thoughts about carrot milk. Is there really such a thing? Is it a new health drink or something?.... she's too funny.

Anyway, going back to my bunny card. As you all know I love punch arts, well anything with paper piecings. I looked around and found so many versions of cute, stubby, fluffy-looking bunnies and came up with my own version. I usually focus on the expression of the face of this punch art and I think I got a lovey-dubby one. The Bunny featured in my Carrot Box has the same pattern except for the feet.

Carrot Milk Carton Box

Peek A Boo!!! Guess what's behind the carrot! It's a bunny. You know how they go so well together. At first, I made the carrot box out of the milk carton die and thought of how a bunny would look with it. In this sketch, I made the bunny look like it's hugging the carrot from behind and waving HELLO, THERE!..heehee... so cute.



I realized that I needed an opening for the box. I punched out a 1-1/4" hole behind it before assembly. Then I made the rabbit to become the lid for that hole. I had to make it slide open so I used a brad to make a hindge. What do you think? Then again, you may do away with the bunny. The hole is just right to hold any wrapped candy. Notice that I used some of my Gingham Mints :)

Valentine M&M Treats

Whoaaaa!! I completely forgot to share this little treat! I know it's not the first one you've seen but I made a cute version of it. They were such a hit last Valentine's day! You can also make different versions like for Birthday, St.Patrick's day (Green version), Easter, etc.... so many possibilities. I'll be featuring some versions soon. So don't forget to stop by.

It's so simple and inexpensive and yet very cute for a giveaway. The scallop tag just puts the icing on top! I glued some red glitters on the heart. Ain't it cute! I also displayed them on a transparent coffee mug and it looked like a flower bouquet. Here's a closer look at the tag.
