A Christmas Card - Cocoa Mugs Workshop
Hi, there!!! The weather is changing drastically that it shocks the body. It's just confusing our system. Well they say that a cup of hot cocoa or a cup of coffee keeps the body at normal temperature in the holidays. So I'm doing that with cards, too!
It's so much fun doing this card and it's sooo easy. I used the Jolly Holiday DSP #117159 and I didn't realize how useful and how lovely these design papers were until I used them for my Xmas cards. I wish they never retire this set.
Picture a warm mug with hot cocoa topped with whipped cream and sprinkled with cinammon or cocoa powder. Of course ,we can't forget to plop in the ever so sweet peppermint candy cane that gives that little bit of flavor of Christmas. Can you picutre it? Well, we will be making a set of 4 cards at my November workshop:) In this class, you'll be getting a cute designer tin to hold your cards too! So hurry and sign up for my class!! It will be on November 13th and 14th :)
To purchase my tutorial for this class, it will be a $4.99 fee to receive a .pdf file via email. To sign up for the class, it will be a $9.99 fee. Please click the button for advance sittings and tutorials.

My Monster Mash Boxes
Introducing, my Monster Mash collection! You know that song A Monster Mash? That song inspired me to put together this group of Halloween cuties. I've got my Witch, Mummy, Vampire, Gizmo Gremlin and Franky. What best is there than using your Owl Punch (#118074) once again! They're just the perfect ensemble when you make your Halloween basket treats. In this case, I made my Halloween Treat Boxes using color cardstocks: Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry on the roofs. You may combine them with Chocolate Chip Brown, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, Concord Crush.
Here are the rest of the gang!
To see the whole picture, here's a good take that will woe anyone. This was also one of our BigShot project last week. It was fun making them with Sandy and Carol!
To make the Haunted House Boxes, click HERE. Excuse me for using a different ribbon. The perfect ribbon to use on this project is the Black 1/2" Lace Trim - Raven#120988. Have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Xmas Wishlist/Planner -Altered Note Pads
Hello, there! Excuse me for my short absence but I still believe in that saying that absence makes the heart go fonder. Don't you think? Anyway, todays share is a cute note pad I made for my workshop guest who brought a friend. Yup, I just had to make those cute owls again and this time I made a Santa Owl! Whoo Whoo Whoo.. (instead of ho, ho, ho). Notice I added a little Pom Pom on his hat!
My cover for these note pads are the new DSP, Candy Cane Christmas #120809. What I love about this DSP set are the glitters on the paper. They just sparkle everywhere and makes your project look so magical!(the picture does not even do justice to show it) I used 80 sheet, small composition notebooks in this project which measures 3-1/4" x 4-1/2". To complete the ensemble, I included a pen which I wrapped with DSP then tied a red bow on it. I had to insert the DSP in one of the pens, however, it didn't go well with the other because the DSP was to thick to fit in the pen capsule.
These notepads can be used as your Xmas Planner as your guide to:
Decking the Halls,
Trimming the Trees,
and spreading GOOD CHEER without falling off your sleigh....
So for my upcoming Holiday Workshops, you get this notepad with a pen FREE, when you bring a friend!!!

Halloween Coffin Treat Boxes
Boo!! I think I got crazy this week. I went crazy creating these cute coffin treat boxes. I thought it would come out creepy to make them but they came out to be quite entertaining. With all the craze coming about with vampires, or even "Nightmare Before Xmas" ride in Disneyland, I just got inspired to make them. You can fill them generously with M&Ms or Candy Corn! How about gum? :) These boxes were made in black cover and red body. It's just going to be a stunning treat box favor for your Halloween Party!!!
I also made a cute punch art depicting a skeleton named Jack (you know him as the lead character in Disney's "Nightmare Before Christmas") Yeah, but I came close..hihi.
Well, if you want to make this project, you may purchase my tutorial which will include how to make the coffin box and the Punch Art Skeleton. My tutorials feature clear Step-by-Step instructions and illustrations by photos. Many of you have bought and read some of my tutorials in my blog. You have given me great feedbacks for them. Halloween Favor Box- Masquerade
Hello, there! It's October and you know what that means! Another Halloween project for you. Halloween is about masquerading, so many costumes and so many mask. I just decided to mask my punch arts. Let me show you. Here's little black kitty with his cute glittery mask.
HOW TO MAKE THE MASK:
You will need 3 punchers:
- Large Oval Punch
- Curly Label Punch
- Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (the round one)
At a straight edge of a cardstock, punch out a small piece of with your oval punch. Then punch half of the curly label punch as illustrated. Lastly, using the Itty Bitty Shapes punch, punch 2 circles. (Not to close to each other, I would mark the mask with 2 dots first before I punch the circles)
HOW I MADE THE CAT:
Punch Used:
- 5 petal flower punch (for the ears and the legs)
- Full Heart Punch (half piece for the tail)
- Large Oval Punch (for the head)
- Word Window Punch (for the neck)
- 1/2" circle punch (for the eyes)
- 2 Step Owl Punch (for the iris)
- Slot punch (for the neck leash), I think it's no longer available for sale but you can always improvise by cutting a small rectangle piece.
Now you're ready to follow the illustrations below! Have fun!!!

TAADAAAHHHHHH !!!! You have your cat! Position the mask slightly below right of the cat's eyes. It would give the cat a cute shy expression. Remember to draw your whiskers and eye highlights with white gel pen. Then GLITTER!!! This will give the full dramatic effect of your Masquerade. (Use "Fine Super Nova" glitter set - orange #114287)
I hope you had fun making my Masquerade Cat. See you again!
