Altered Milk Carton Boxes - Tutorial

Hey, there! By popular demand, here is a mini tutorial on how to make these Altered Milk Carton Boxes. It's really easy, but if you really need more detailed instructions, read on....

With two 5-1/2" x 6" Cardstock pieces, use the BigShot Milk Carton Die #117310. Position your cardstock from the seam or tab of the box die. As a result, the other side of the cardstock will only have a portion of the 4th side of the box.

Cut the partial piece of the box. Then, fold all scores.

Now with Sticky Strip or Crystal Effects glue (my college friend, Dodjie, had used the code #101055 as a metaphor for a person who brings people together...lol!!!) Thanks, Dodjie. :) Anyway, if you know me well, I prefer using the crystal effects glue on everything! :)

To assemble the box, glue the Cardstock pieces as illustrated.

Then cut the bottom flap corners of the box for easy bottom seal.

TIP: To position your box well, I'd put a round item (maybe a ball or a 2-3/4" diameter sauce dish)

To punch holes on the top edge of the box opening, use the 3/16" hole of the Crop-a-Dial #108362. Punch the hole right in the middle of each fold as illustrated.

Viola!!! You have your gorgeous box :) I hope this mini tutorial helped. Have fun making them!

As usual...AMAZING....I so look forward to your next creating. Don't have that die, but I guess I could make me one in Inkscape or SCAL. It would be nice to afford all these wonderful goodie dies...haha

Thank you for posting this, Kay. I did cut my paper 5-1/2 x 6 to save paper and make two out of a 12x12, but I did struggle with the bottom so now I need to get a little bowl!!! I love this box and have been making several!
Hugs, Cami

Thank you so much for this fabulous tutorial! When SU was clearance-ing out all their steel rule dies I bought this die thinking I might use it one day! Then they came out with the Carousel Birthday stamp and paper set last year and everyone was making these six sided boxes to look like a carousel! Thank you so much!!!

I'm someone who has lived a life seemingly in the background, I must say this final indignity I have suffered almost too much to endure. You see, I have been sickly and weak since the day I was born and doomed to go through my life weakling. I seemed to have always suffered from one illness or another and could never play with the other children as I so desperately wanted to. Mother always made such a big fuss over me, also, making the situation worse as the other boys teased me mercilessly after they saw it. I was browsing  the internet searching on how I could be transformed into a powerful person when I came across the email of a man named Lord Mark. who was a VAMPIRE so I told him that I has always dreamed of becoming a  VAMPIRES, All i did was just to follow the procedure that i was been told, and i bet you that procedure I took change my entire life to something i ever desire, freedom, sickness free, pains free, fame, influence, connections and even more that i can. Thanks to Lord Mark. Do you want a life full of interesting things? Do you want to have power and influence over others? To be charming and desirable?
