Holiday Faire is Near

Hi! It's almost here. We will be in the faire on November 7th and 8th (Friday 4 to 9 pm and Saturday 9 to 4 pm) at the Heritage Park in Irvine. We will be selling our artworks like scrapbook embellishments ( tear bears, mulberry flowers); holiday cards, holiday tags(made with Stampin Up materials), etc. So hurry and don't miss this. It's a fun way to check out some projects for your Holiday or just get a bargain. They said that they had around 2,000 patrons last year. So, be early and see you there! We will be at Space C8 . Christine's Indian Girl Project

Here'a a cute project Christine, my dear friend and Godchild made. Her art project was for a National PTA Program called Reflections Program Theme: "Wow!" Well, to my surprise, it really wowed me. Isn't it cute. She is a true artist. Thank you for sharing Christine.
Here is Christine Smet's Artist Statement: My visual artwork relates to the theme of "Wow" because it shows one of India's many temples with tear bear, Little Miss India. A tear bear is a paper bear. My tear bear is made with mulberry paper and designer paper. I have drawn the temple in the background and have used chalk, flowers, and rhinestones to give it color. The 12 x 12 inch paper is cardstock. There are two people who inspired me to make this - my aunt who showed me how to make tear bears last summer, and my kindergarten and first grade teacher who sent me a picture of the temple that I have drawn in the background. I have visited Hindu temples like the one I have drawn when I went to Bali, Indonesia.

Mulberry Paper Flowers

Hi,there! Here are paper flowers made of Mulberry which are good for your scrapbooking or any project you may have. These flowers are acid free. DEFINITION: Mulberry paper is made by hand with a process that has been used for 1000 years. The mulberry tree is farmed specifically for the production of craft papers. Once the bark has been stripped and processed into paper, unlike most trees, the mulberry tree will regenerate another layer of bark which can be harvested again in about 12 months making it a renewable natural resource that will not harm or deplete the environment.

Christmas Card Couples

Good Morning! I hope you had a nice weekend! My weekend is pretty busy getting ready for another Workshop and building up inventory for the Holiday Faire. Well here is one of those items I will be featuring in the craft faire in November.

I used the "Chocolate Chip" cardstock, together with scraps of Real Red and Old Olive cardstocks using the scallop punch. The DSP card background was from the "Holiday Treasures" again. I love that series because the patterns blend well with each other. SU really makes there DSP pattern designs well coordinated.

I used a stamp from the "Deer Friends" set, stamped with the Chocolate Chip Ink. Isn't it cute! I know I had to do more into this card (like stiching and adding my Tear Bear) but it was worth it. Anyway, have a great day!
