Congratulations to the Candy Blog Winners

It was wonderful getting some ideas from my blog friends. I've gotten great ideas like making more owl punch designs, masculine cards, more 3D project designs and even Christmas Projects in July!!! Ok, will do :) thanks to you all who responded.

To those who won a 2011-2012 Idea Book Catalog, please email me your address.
Congratulations to :
- Vicki
"I would love to see masculine cards, especially one layers or ones that will easily go through the mail. Seems that many cards now-a-days have so much dimension that the card would be costly to mail. Less is more.
Goooooooooooooo Mojooooooooooo!!"

- Gina Wrona
"I always have loved seeing what you can do with the owl punch and my favorites have always been your flowers on the cakes."

- JayGirl
Glad you're back, Kay. I know a lot about losing one's mojo, but with your enormous talent am sure you'll be bursting with great ideas soon enough.
Best regards to your mom & dad!

- Judith

- Jperr- Jocelan

Sailing Card- Retirement

Some of you had requested me to make a masculine card. Well, here is something you'll enjoy. Here's a sailboat card that you can use as a Father's Day or a Retirement Card.

What better way to make a sailboat by using a die! Guess which one I used. Yes, the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die. #114507. Just cut the upper part of the big half butterfly wings and the upper part of the small half butterly wings then you have your sails :)

This are the other elements of the card:
- Boho Blossom Punch (use the big flower for the sun)
- 1/2" circle punch (use for the sun)
- 2-1/2" circle punch for the sunset background
- antique brads
- scallop edge punch
- Square Lattice textured embossing folder
- Elegant Lines textred embosing folder

Colors used:
- Concord Crush
- Daffodil Delight
- Chocolate Chip Brown
- Peach Parfait
- Pumpkin Pie
- Whisper White

Mojo Monday-194

Hi! To begin with, I'm taking a color challenge on this card and would like to focus on Father's Day. I wanted to use a designer paper that would hold blues, greens and browns but I didn't really find any. I'm sure that the NEW SU! Idea Book Catalog will have tons of new designs and colors but I'm starting off with my own :)

I used my 3/4" square punch and the 1/2" circle punch on the design using the following colors:
- Baja Breeze
- Old Olive
- Certainly Celery
- Tempting Turquoise
- Soft Suede
- Concord Crush
- Marina Mist

Then, used the Chocolate Chip Brown for the 4-1/4" x 11" cardstock and scored at 5-1/2" with 5/8" Satin Ribbon. For the Whisper White scallop at the bottom, I just used (4) 1" circle punch.

For the tag, I used the 1-3/8" Circle Punch on Whisper White CS and 1-3/4" circle Punch on Certainly Celery CS with a Certainly Celery Grosgain Ribbon.

You may use any stamp for this card, but I used the "Naturally Serif" sizzlits decorative strip die for my "DAD" and used the "Hodgepodge Happiness" stamp set :)
Cool, huh!

I hope you enjoyed my post today and I'll see you again on my next project!

New BLOG Banner

Pssssst! I'm peeking in again... I'm really having a hard time getting back my mojo. Well I started on my Blog banner since it's been months since I've touched it. :) Father's Day is coming soon and summer is coming soon. What's up with the weather??? As you can see, I'm starting with the banner and then the weather.... hmmmm... I'll be posting my classes soon. I really thank everyone for being so patient as I've found myself in a Bermuda Triangle. Just feeling LOST for over a month.

Please help me find my mojo by leaving a comment on what you'd like to see from me again:) Any type of project you'd like to see in my blog or any class you'd like to attend.

What I'm really excited about is the NEW SU! Idea Book Catalog coming up! If you'd like a copy, please contact me:)

If you'd like a FREE copy of the NEW 2011-2012 Idea Book Catalog, leave me a comment about what you like seeing in my blog. A drawing will be made at June 25th for 5 winners. There will be enough time for everyone to join the candy blog! Hope to hear from you :)
