Tart and Tangy Treat Holders

Raidis, my friend, out done herself again! I like her work and wanted to share with you what she makes. They're just dandy. Here is what she made last night and here is what she had to express: Where has the summer vacation gone? I created this little treats holder and will tuck them inside their lunch boxes next week. For a yummy surprise!
You can have a piece of these yummy treats too! Here are Handmade Treat Holders. These yellow treat holders were made from Stampin' Up cardstock in Yoyo Yellow, stamped with SU ink in Pumpkin Pie. The center lemon circle were punched with 2 different SU punchers and fixed with a silver brad. The lemon stamp is from Stampin' Up's TART & TANGY set, while the sentiment "You're Absolutely Fabulous" is from SU's ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS set. The white scallop edge was created with SU cardstock in Whisper White and made with the newest SU Scallop Edge Punch.

Then add the Starburst Fruit Chews Lemon Flavor candies as the candy treat!

Halloween Bookmarkers

Happy Tuesday! Today, I'd like to share with you a project I made this weekend with my friends. The kids are all bookworms and they wanted to make bookmarkers for their new books. Since Halloween is near again and I just got this wonderful Stampin Set "Batty for You" as a gift from Raidis for my Bday... hehe.. thanks Raidis, I decided to have the kids choose a design for their bookmarkers. I used Basic Black, Whisper White and Only Orange cardstocks, Scallop Circle Punches, 1-1/4 circle punch and satin ribbons that I marked with black pen markers to add a stich like design. And most importantly the giant paper clip which I bought in Walmart. I made 2 combinations of the stamped bat design "I'm Batty for You" with the white and the orange cardstock so I can put it on the front and back. Remember to dot your scallop circles with a white gel pen. Ok have fun making it!

A Simple Useful Tip

If you are piercing your paper to put brads on it or just giving it a punch hole look, you can use this tip. It's just right in your kitchen, an unused sponge. It easily gives you the cushion while you pierce a hole on your paper. Very easy, very practical and inexpensive! Your kitchen sponges come available in any color (pink, yellow, blue, green, purple, etc...). I will be featuring a list of all my simple useful tips in the side columnn blogs for your future reference as well as techniques.

Have a nice day!

A Gift for Tia

My mom came to me and asked me to make a 12x12 premade scrapbook page for Tia, the granddaughter of her friend. The party is on Saturday and I just made sure it made it in time.

We bought a beautiful 12x12 white frame at Michaels, which was on sale at 40% off. What a deal and what timing.

I started with Stampin' Ups textured Papers - "Barely Banana" , "Pretty in Pink" and "Close to Cocoa" Then got some few Jolee's stickers and KC&Company flower stickers with a touch of my cute tear bear which is hand made and hand torn by myself. I used some Cricut die cuts for the lettering and used Stampin' Up Scallop Punches, that spelled "Tia is One" and also hand made the lovely 2 tier cake.

My mom wrote and dedicated at the back of the frame, "Memories to cherish for a lifetime".

You're wondering how we gift wrapped it. We didn't. We just tied a pretty white sheer ribbon and made a little tag made of Stampin Up "Close to Cocoa" and "Pretty in Pink" textured paper stamped with the SU "Sweet One" stamp from the set "So Many Scallops". And Whola!!!
